OUT OF BOUNDS

Our Kona Clump Team has been the definitive driving force behind our Stinky and Coiler bikes. These World class athletes travel the world in search of our sport's most progressive freeride terrain and conditions. With their inputs, our designers are able to create what’s happening right now in freeride scenes all over the world. Basically, these guys are rolling off of cliffs…so you don’t have to. Or maybe you do…anyhow, these are the bikes to hold onto when you’re making that leap.

DOWNHILL

Argueably (amongst arguers), the most “innovation” demanding race category is World Cup Downhill. And with all this argueing going on…Kona has quietly designed a downhill bike that has crowned a Downhill World Champion. Building upon our longstanding philosophy that athletes provide the best collaboration for our designers, Kona has the fastest downhill bikes for our Team Kona Les Gets Factory Team. If they can win a World Championship, they can probably contend with whatever you've got lined up this weekend.

CROSSCOUNTRY

Cross country riding, and cross country racing are cornerstones of Kona Bicycles. For the last 17 years we’ve collaborated with (and sponsored) some of the fastest racers in the world, who ride the most demanding courses out there. Each one of them contributes to design and innovation in order for our bikes to withstand World Cup racing, and the brutal punishment it puts on equipment.

This year, the Kona Les Gets Factory Team will be putting our bikes through another rigorous season of racing, research & development.

ROAD

Completely new for 2006 is the Kona Road line. Actually, it’s new to you, but not that new to us. We’ve been designing and building road bikes for the 17 years that we’ve been in business, but not until now have we introduced them with such a program. Why? We’re meticulous about getting design perfect, and specs beyond perfect. We just don’t believe in using our Kona customers as our R&D department. Thanks for being patient, and now the wait is over.

DIRT JUMPING

John Cowan has been the Kona Dirt Jumping Ambassador for some time now. His longstanding experience with the sport and culture has been fed directly into each of our Dirt Jump bikes, and we usually listen pretty well to guys when they're upside down. Bob Marley once said, ".When it hits, you feel no pain".this is different.

ASPHALT

Kona Asphalt is our line of bikes that are designed for all types of urban riding. Riding city streets isn’t just a practice of slapping skinny tires on a mountain bike, or making a road bike more upright.

It’s about designing solutions and styles that fit everybody from the Bike Hot Rod to the Dr. Dew. As we’ve said in the past….ride it, beat it, lock it to a random pole.
